We are a not-for-profit community housing organisation
that offers affordable accommodation through several
government supported programs and also in partnership with the
private sector. Our
Mission
Confronted with the crisis and social injustice of
homelessness, BBL exists to help the homeless and those at risk
of homelessness into supportive housing.
BBL is able to provide appropriate accommodation that is
affordable and secure in an accountable, professional, systematic and socially
just manner in order to empower tenants to live independent and creative
lives.
Brisbane Boarders Ltd is situated in the Brisbane
Homelessness Service Centre at South Brisbane. It is part
of a team of community-based organisations at a one-stop
location to provide efficient and timely services to homeless
people or those who are at risk of homelessness. Other
partnering agencies include Micah Projects Inc., Mater Hospital, Centacare-South
West Brisbane Community Options Project, Big Issue and Murrie
Watch. Visiting agencies and services include Centrelink,
Queensland Health and other medical/support services.
